With the high resolution of the sceyeX A3 (10 megapixels) and integrated text recognition, the fully automatic conversion of whole A3 pages into PDFplus format is made possible. sceyeX A3 flexibly scans every format - from small reminder notes up to A3 forms - and at the same time removes all unnecessary borders and rotates the document straight.

Horizontal instead of portrait.

Unlike the A4 sceye models, the sceyeX A3 scans in horizontal format. As usual, the patented laser projection of the scanning area is projected on the table. Particularly with books, newspaper articles and double paged A4 forms, the advantage of the new alignment is shown.

sceyeX only

The scanning of an A3 sized area requires the highest degree of sharpness. Because of this, we are only offering the A3 option in connection with our high resolution 10 megapixel model - sceyeX. 

Comfort as accustomed. 

All comfort functions such as automatic scanning, automatic cropping and automatic straightening are of course also available for our new sceyeX A3. With the performance of the PRO package, exporting to a searchable PDF (PDFplus) is also available along side the popular fuctionality of sceye Autoscan. 

Book mode

The book mode, which was especially and exclusively developed for this model, allows you to additionally scan a double page in one step. The respective left and right pages of a book template are captured in one single shot and automatically saved as 2 seperate pages in the same document. Double the performance in the same amount of time.

And even more: You can keep your fingers in the border zone of your book to keep the pages flat - no worry about your fingers - they will be removed from the final scan magically.

Our entry-level model sceyeS offers all the signature functions of our entire product family. Thanks to the slim and elegant design only a minimal amount of space is required. The power for the laser and light is provided through the USB connection, thus eliminating the need for an external power supply.

Operation

Handling is extremely simple: any document (invoice, delivery slip, fuel receipt ect.) is placed within the projected laser area. With one click the document is scanned, rotated straight and cropped accordingly. With our Intelligent Autocrop (Intellicrop), the border is removed and a clear, clean scan is produced. The result is reduced file size and first class results - and it all happens automatically.

Flexibility & speed

Flexibility and speed are the greatest strengths of every sceye. Not only can papers of any size and form be scanned, but also stapled pages, books, newspapers, or even documents directly from a folder. In one second the document is captured and you can flip to the next page, regardless of whether the documents are being scanned in colour, greyscale or black & white.

Software features & abilities

The world wide standard for scanners is called TWAIN. Via TWAIN, sceye can be immediately integrated into any TWAIN compatible application. This way every archiving program, OCR and most branch solutions (medical practice software, book keeping software, chambers solutions ect.) can use the high speed of sceye and scan papers directly, without changing the software.

Special model - Monopro

As an extension of our sceyeX models, we also offer a monochrome model. With a 10 megapixel resolution and a monochrome sensor, this may sound like a limitation. However by sacrificing colour, the monochrome sensor can now deliver even sharper scans. In order to obtain a comparable result with a colour sensor, you would require a sensor with around 20 megapixels. That's why our sceyeX Monopro is the perfect choice for fine text capture when using OCR, or when small barcodes need to be recognised for best possible process reliability.

Windows Terminal Server support.

Whether Citrix or another pure WTS environment, sceye is currently the only USB workplace scanner which already supports operation in a WTS environment - readily integrated into the driver. sceye is connected through USB at a terminal (Windows Client Computer) whilst the software is run directly in the server environment. The data is compressed at the same time and invisibly transferred over the existing RDP connection. Completely automatic - the user will hardly notice the difference. 

That's how simple and easy it is to apply and that's how sophisticated and powerful this solution is at the technical level. Our WTS support is about 40 times faster than a pure USB device routing. 

Context scanning vs. batch scanning

The ADF scanner leads the way in batch scanning. Yet you don't often have a pile of documents to capture, but rather a single or in some cases a multiple page document. This is the moment where the throughput rate per minute doesn't count, but rather the reaction speed, flexibility and operational readiness that does. This is where the strengths of sceye are discovered. 

Context scanning describes the situation in which you already find yourself in the matching context in a given application (be it customer context, deliverer context, or patient context ect.) and the document being scanned should exactly match this context. In the process you also save time, because in comparison to batch scanning, the indexing is omitted.

Context scanning is the key skill of sceye. Either via Twain or directly integrated in every application through our SDK if even more performance & speed are required.

PRIME Light

PRIME Light is an optional hardware add-on/upgrade, specifically developed for use when scanning large amounts of reflective documents. If you often need to scan shiny objects eg. Magazines, photos, ID documents ect., then PRIME Light is the right option for you. Special filters work to elimate sceyes own light source completely from the results. Now you can scan all your magazines pages in seconds, not minutes like flatbed scanners. 

SDK - Software Development Kit

Currently more than 200 partners use our SDK for direct integration in several products and projects. The process only requires 5 lines of code to reach an initial integration. 

With our OCX we deliver a live preview, the basic functions as well as the menu bar. The chosen settings of the user are saved as desired and are available unchanged with the next execution of the program. As like all sceye applications the full performance features of our sceye PRIME technology are also available over the SDK. From automatic contrast to object recognition, automatic cropping and straightening to image optimisation - all functions are built in. 

The recognition of new objects, known from sceye Autoscan can be used per event to conceive and trigger a new scan. Or simply make a manual crop on the live preview with the mouse. Even the page orientation or book mode can ultimately be controlled for a sceyeX-A3. 

Last but not least - every application in which our sceye is integrated through OCX can also be WTS-suitable. This means that without a single line of code, the application can be executed on the server, whilst the sceye belonging to it can be connected at a terminal.

NEW: sceye-Sphere also comes with an SDK and offers the easiest and by far most powerful way to integrate sceye features as well as a unique document viewer right into your application.

After sending in your sceye to us so we can inspect it and rule out deliberate damage, we will either repair or replace it for you with no extra costs. The professional sceyeX-A4/A3 models are our most popular and offer optimal quality and maximal automisation. Expanding on the abilities & possibilities of the sceyeS model, these models are offered with some considerable enhancements for professional application.

sceyeX A4

The 10 Megapixel high resolution of the sceyeX models produces scans with true detail, even with small fonts. At the same time the best of every document is automatically captured through the intelligent filter and image-optimisation process. This is a particular strength of our technology. Like the sceyeS model, the corners of the document are recognised, allowing the document to be automatically rotated and cropped. No more manual post-editing!

Automation

Full batch scans are usually only done with ADF scanners. sceye achieves this even with crumpled or stapled pages, alternating formats from small fuel receipts up to A4 sized documents (or up to A3 with sceyeX-A3) . This is done extremely fast & completely automatically with sceye Autoscan. 

sceye Autoscan recognises any new documents layed into the scanning area, (indicated by a projected laser border) and triggeres a scan autonomously, rotates the document straight & crops it to the correct size. Lay it down, take it away - done.

PDFplus

A special highlight of the professional solution is PDFplus. Alongside TIF and normal PDF, PDFplus is also available when exporting. During the export, the full text of the scanned pages is also retrieved through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and imbedded into every PDF. This is perfect for future full-text searches in Window's search or Mac Spotlight. The OCR is deeply integrated into the processing and runs discreetly in the background. New documents can even be scanned during this.

Fast, faster, sceye

A3 scan in 1 second - cosmical!

Regardless of document size, capturing is already complete after one second and you can continue to the next page. This also applies when scanning from a folder, even if the folder is quite full. The sceyeX A3 has a tolerance area of 12 cm compared to the sceyeX with 2 cm. This allows direct scanning from A4 folders, even if they are quite thick.

During the process, the individual left and right pages of the book are captured in one single shot and automatically saved as two separate pages. Double performance in the same amount of time. 

Furthermore, you can simply leave your fingers in the border area of the book to flatten the pages. They are simply removed like magic from the scanned pages. Being simple and fast in application, while also producing professional results is what distinguishes our sceyeX models.

Multiscan

Multiscan is another special mode which was developed for sceyeX-A3 models. It's purpose is to allow you to scan up to 30 smaller objects in one single shot, saving you time with all those small receipts and business cards. Any object with four corners can be used. Simply place the objects in the scan area and make a scan. All the objects are instantly cropped, straightened, sperarated and appear on screen.
