1g2006-2007 1stg

2006 - sceye has created its own new category of scanner. As the first professional document camera (3 Megapixels), it has significant advantages which allow all documents - even stapled - to be scanned, contact and maintenance free! Some of our power users have scanned up to a million documents since 2006 until now, with one single sceye - maintenance free.


 

 

 

 

 

2g2007-2008 2ndg

2007 - Launch of the 2nd Generation with better optics, improved software and drivers. (with Vista support). Autobrightness was also added and the foundation of a new framework for SDK was developed, which is still used today.


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3g2008-2009 3rdg

2008 - Launch of the 3rd generation with integrated lighting (Still with external power source) and substantial software enhancements, such as Autodetection, and automatic straightening and cropping.


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4g2009-2010 4thg

Mid-2009 - Launch of the 4th generation with integrated USB-powered lighting. Launch of sceye Autoscan, a fully automatic solution for document capture without pressing a button. 4th generation devices with 10MP are technically on the same level as a 5th generation device. The new complete sceyeX series were also developed based on the new camera electronics of the 4th generation sceyes.


 

 

 

 

 

5g2010-NOW 5thg

Mid-2010 - extention of the sceye range with sceyeX, which has a new 10 Megapixel high resolution camera. 2011 - Launch of the 5th generation, based on completely new-developed camera electronics. Migration of sceye to a resolution of 5 Megapixels / and the sceyeX to a further resolution of 10 Megapixels. Beside considerable improvements in the basis software, direct support for MAC OS was introduced as well as sceye RACE - a software for windows that allows direct scanning into almost every application with a single Hotkey.Mid-2011 - Launch of sceye Workbench - an application developed  especially for Mac OS, that creates searchable PDFs extremely easily and fast. Perfect for Spotlight.

2012 - ... and our developments continue. We are constantly making technical developments and improvements, that we always provide to customers of older generation sceyes when possible.
